I recently bought a dvd burner that came with PowerDVD.Until I turned off OD,the video had a black rectangle covering most of the image.Does anybody have a fix?(OD standard and PowerDVD 5)

Never had any issues here with PowerDVD, WinDVD, or any others.
What kind of video card do you have?

I use an ATI card. Makes me wonder if it could be some kind of conflict with the Nvidia drivers.
You could check for the latest drivers, otherwise you might just have to shut down OD when watching movies.
I know I usually shut it down when playing games, just to free up more memory and cycles for the game.

I had trouble for a long time with any skin by dannilloc (I probably just butchered his screen name....)and a few other skinners' work. I would get all kinds of lines through the systray area. I finally emailed him, and it pretty much came down to the video drivers.
Thankfully the catalyst drivers released a few months ago fixed that problem.
I know they released a new set a couple weeks ago, but I don't want to mess things up again, so I'm sticking with my current drivers for now.
